Chanel studied at the Queensland University of Technology where she attained her qualifications of Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Justice in 2011.

She was admitted to the Supreme Court of Australia in 2012. She commenced at Walker Pender Group in 2016 in Commercial Law assisting clients with business sales and purchases, leases, and commercial property purchases and sales.
